Crisis Management

A crisis refers to any present or future event that leads to an unstable or dangerous situation. Crises undermine our normal capabilities and leave us feeling helpless, afraid, confused, or overwhelmed.

Crises can include divorce, assault, loss of income, the death of a loved one, or a medical diagnoses. Oftentimes, crises put us in a place where we feel stuck, unsure about what to make of it or how to move forward.

At Wellaware, our counsellors aim to establish a sense of safety, stability, and connection. Our goal is to assist clients with coping and support, so that they can claim a level of control over a crisis.
